Privacy Policy for Biofe

Your privacy is the most important thing to us. Biofe is designed to be your private, personal space. We believe that your journal entries are for your eyes only, and our policies and architecture are built around that principle.

Data Storage & Security

When you sign in with your Google account, your journal entries are stored securely in your own private space within our Firebase database. The connection to this database is protected by Firebase's robust security rules, which ensure that only you, as the authenticated user, can read, write, or delete your own entries. No one else—not even the administrators of Biofe—can access your journal content.

If you use the "Continue as Guest" feature, your entries are stored temporarily in your browser's session storage. This data is not sent to any server and is automatically deleted when you close your browser tab.

The Secure Vault

For an even higher level of privacy, Biofe offers a Secure Vault. When you move an entry to the vault, it is encrypted. The password you set for your vault is used to perform this encryption. This password is known only to you and is never stored on our servers, ensuring that only you can decrypt and view your vaulted entries.

AI-Powered Features

Our AI features, such as generating titles and summaries, process your journal entry content to provide suggestions. This processing is done securely, and we do not store your journal content for the purpose of training AI models or for any other reason. The AI simply analyzes the text you provide in real-time and returns the suggestions.

Data We Collect

To provide our service, we only collect the essential information required for authentication, which includes your name and email address when you sign in with Google. We do not track your activity for advertising purposes or sell your data to third parties.
